In 1998, Lucy’s visit to Liberia became a catalyst for hope amid the nation’s challenges. Recognizing the plight of orphans, needy children, and widows in Owensgrove, she called upon a local women’s group to join hands and work in unity. This partnership laid the groundwork for what would become Children’s Rescue Outreach International INC (CROI).

We firmly believe that every child and widow deserves the dignity of care, the opportunity to thrive, and the promise of a future filled with possibilities. Our aim is to break the cycle of poverty by providing our children with the tools and resources they need to succeed in life. Our organization is dedicated to empowering and transforming the lives of orphans, abandoned children, and widows. We focus on meeting their most fundamental needs and strive to help them reclaim lives marked by dignity and hope. Through our efforts, we aim to nurture environments where these individuals are supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.

We envision communities in which every child is loved, educated, and healthy, while every widow is respected and supported. Our commitment is to foster surroundings where love, learning, and well-being are accessible to all, regardless of their circumstances.

At present, our efforts are concentrated in Nyanwein, Grand Bassa County, Liberia, West Africa. CROI now owns five acres of land in this region, which serves as the foundation for our continued commitment to uplifting vulnerable populations. The organization is dedicated to delivering quality education, comprehensive healthcare, suitable housing, emotional encouragement, and spiritual support to orphans, abandoned children, and widows.

Our motivation is based on James 1:27 Which States," Religion That God Our Father Accepts as Pure and Faultless is This. To Look After Orphans and Windows in Their Distress and to Keep Oneself from Being Polluted by The World"
